Found a Civil War cannon ball today!!UPDATED New pics of it together

I went to one of my spots today where a running battle took place back in 1862. I have done pretty well there, but today was my best day there so far. I got a big iron signal and dug down about 16-17 inches and found a cannon ball fragment then I started finding the case shot and more frags. This shot obviously exploded in the ground, I will be able to put it back together and make a great display. Thanks for looking, and happy hunting!


UPDATED:
Here it is put together, I should have the fuse by Thursday. I am still pumped about this find probably one of my all time best!!

Wow...I agree with the others, that should be on the banner! You've got the entire ball and the lead shot...will make a great display. If I were you I wouldn't fuse it back together in any way. Keep it seperated as a cannon ball puzzle!

Thanks everyone for the compliments and banner votes! I now have it put together, it is all there except for the threads where the fuse went, I am going to stabilize it with some rust neutralizer spray and then I will take some more pictures and post them.

Must of broke up when soldiers tried to bury it. They could of dropped it and than it broke up too. Any way a great find.
