Found a cool NRA Marksman medal today

Found this neat medal today, as well as a bunch of bullet shells and other odds and ends. I wish I had found the ring I lost Wednesday when detecting the same area, but I guess it is going to sit out there a while longer and taunt me.

It came out of the ground with some dried dirt caked on it, but some running water and gentle sweeps of a soft toothbrush to get the dirt off, and it came out looking like this.
