Found a few points today...

Nothing to jump up and down about, but not too shabby IMHO... Went out to the site where I used to work that I mentioned in the other thread (Honey Hole). Searched for about an hour and a half and came up w/3 - or one every 30 minutes. Now I just feel really dumb for not picking up every point I saw when I worked there. I am going to try to go back after the next really good rain.

Thanks! It was really dry and dusty today, so I found myself picking at a lot of quartz because it just stood out more. I think the black one is flint. I just barely saw that black one peeking through. Probably walked by many more. I really need to go after a good shower of rain but we have been bone dry here lately.

Not too shabby for my first time lookin' since I was a wee lad. Just shakin' the rust off. Hopefully the next trip will be more fruitful as this is a sweet site. Am I wrong to assume these are of Cherokee origin? They were the predominant tribe in NE GA.

nice ones, seems like when i look for them i can't find them. when i'm swinging a detector we find one once in awhile.

Hombre!! mighty nice points for first time back arrowheading. would you please add one more photo of the larger quartz point the one on the right. and sense quartz is bad to glare with a flash please outside full day light not in sun, with the end that is pointing at that pretty black point pointing straight into the lens. i know i am being pickey but how are you to know what i really want if i do not make it plain to myself? Terry

Terry - I will have to post the pic tomorrow but I will follow your instructions. I left my camera in the display case at my booth today. I had a guy tell me that one might be a "scrape"?
