Found a garret 2500GTI in a pawn shop

Ask if they have a moneyback garantee if it doesn't ork.Better yet tell them you want to see it work. They probably gave some poor shmuck $100 or $200 at most for it.Offer them $300 and walk out if they don't take the deal.Pawn shop owners are legal thieves.

I have been looking at some metal detectors and the Garrett 2500GTI is one of them. I have for the last month or so seen them sell around $500.00 - $650.00 on ebay. So yes that is a very fair deal if it works fine. I would offer them $400.00. Good luck.

If it was me I would let it stay right there at the pawn shop ;D

HAHA! i almost agree with this comment! $500 bones is an ok price for a 2500. as long as it works ok.

For $500 or so, you can buy a brand new Garrett GTP 1350 or GTI 1500 at some detector dealers now ! Those are both as good as the Garrett GTI 2500.

I think that would be the best bet.I had a 2500 and loved it ,but you realy dont need all the bells and whistles.

run away fast

lol...thanks all for the replies, guess the GTI2500 hasn't made many friends...I'm always looking for a good deal, guess I'll pass this one up

dont get me wrong, the GTI 2500 is a nice machine. its just that there are deeper machines out there.

I miss mine the most when searching trashy areas. Most coins (silver) seem to be at an average depth of 6-8 inches around these parts and the 2500 does that easily !
