Ok, not a bad morning out before the rain started. This was all found in one yard in about 2 hours.

I found a bunch of change ($1.20) (1 1950 silver dime and 1 1941 wheatie included), a ring and a bracelet.

The bracelet had this unusual color that I thought was brass. Kind of dull. I cleaned it when I got home and saw this stamp (14k). I took it to a jeweler and verified it is indeed gold WOOHOO. They weighed it at 12.1 grams. So, online lookup for 14k value = $293.85 at the current gold price. Not sure how to verify age of the bracelet though.

Thats a great day. Curious what did the bracelet ring up as on ur ATP. Sound choppy at all? Vdi jump around at all

I just ran the AT Pro over my gold bracelet. It fluctuated from 80 and 85. Then, settled on 80. As near as I can tell, it is 58.33% gold and the rest copper.

Found this link on Wikipedia that shows the potential colors for 14k gold depending on what metal is mixed with it.

Time to head out there. (I always said the worst thing that can happen to a treasure hunter is they find something valuable. Then, whammo, that's all they do. :) )

The neighborhood has been there since the 1920's. Kind of run down. Not well maintained.

The house had been torn down and I went through the yard. The change was pretty much everywhere. The jewelry was on the inside of the back yard in the corner nearest the street and front yard. Maybe a clothesline had been there before.
