I went to my sister's old farmhouse today. Found lots of bullet casings and other trash, but this piece has me baffled! It's either brass or copper and may have part of it broken off at the squarish end. Any ideas what this may be, or should I post it in the "What is it?" forum? Thanks!

Looks like a muffler plate off of a small engine.

Made of brass or copper? I was thinking it was more likely part of an oval drain grate.
