Not an expert either but looks like a reproduction to me.

They have been reproducing these knives for over fifty years, the amount of fakes far outnumbers the originals. I'd stay away from it.

Found it how? Estate sale? Metal detecting? Charity shop?
The condition leads me to suspect a reproduction.

It is a fake. Many or most modern fakes are marked "Cabotsville". The name of the town where the Ames factory was located is "Cabotville" (no S), which is how the real ones were marked.
