Found a nice copper but can't make out what it is.

Its larger than a quarter but smaller than a half dollar. Sure wish I could see a date but haven't cleaned it yet. looks like I can make out a body shape on it, Ive found 1700's and 1800 stuff at this site.

I would like to find a way of cleaning old coppers without hurting there value or looks.
