I went up the street to my neighbor's yard where I found the gold locket a few weeks ago. I had about an hour and a half after dinner and I was hoping to score a silver coin. I got a silver alright, but it was a ring. I'm not sure if it's a kid's ring or an adult's ring, it's pretty large. It has four small clear stones and one large clear stone. One of the small ones is missing. The marking inside is "_KSTERLING". I can't make out what is before the "K". Any info on the marking or approximate age would be appreciated. I'm not a jewelry guy.

After some cleaning. Not the most elegant piece :laughing7:

Possibly, gold over sterling such as 14k sterling or 10k sterling.
When I was cleaning it, I noticed some small pieces of a shiny film coming off in in my fingers, which was confusing since it was still silver underneath. But maybe that was gold plating?

Your hallmark is actually an arrow through a "U" for Uncas jewelry company. Very prolific makers of affordable jewelry in the 1900's. I'v dug up many Uncas rings myself! Cheers, Sub :icon_thumleft:

Thanks Sub. Like I said, I'm not a jewelry guy, but I like to find it :laughing7:
