001.webp002.webp003.webp004.webpGot some time in today at this old plantation I have been hunting for awhile now.I have been going through a dry spell for the last few hunts, haven't been finding much ,mostly odds and ends, but finally started to get into a few relics again. The SC button is in bad shape ,I only got a speck of gild out of it,and cant make out the back mark, took me awhile to even make out what is was. That fertilizer is so harsh on stuff!I am not sure what that little plate looking thing is?I was thinking maybe some kind of pin,I am hoping someone can tell me.thanks for looking!

nice button! That looks like a belt buckle to me.

Very nice button. Looks like you have a brass cap box finial and maybe a brass frame for some sort of boot pistol too.

It does kind of look like a miniature belt plate but it is very small, about 11/4 long and just a little over a inch wide.I am not sure about the attachments on the back,I am not thinking its a pin anymore.Damn if I know?I am gonna try it on the what is it forum, and see if anyone might know. Thanks for your reply ocean7!

Could it be a little plate that when on a saddle bag or something of that nature. Nice button.

Nice stuff. Certainly a cap box finial or similar in your photo, and also possibly part of a trigger assembly (the bottom brass piece in your first photo).

Hey I just noticed that the iron piece appears to be a flintlock frizzen judging by the photo. Looks like you are into a pretty promising site!

Woah, youre right! I missed that because it wasn't oriented in the photo the way I'd expect to see it. That's a great find!
