Found an interesting rock. Artifact?

Hello,
I was hoping someone could tell me if this is an artifact or just a rock.
It was found in a creek near my home where we have also found a couple arrow heads.
It weighs almost 3 pounds, is the perfect fit for your hand and has little white marks like it's been struck against something.
Any guess is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Igneous rock rounded from being in the creek many years. Artifact? I'd say doubtful. Gary

Well, i found it a couple foot from the water but that probably would make little difference since the water could have been higher at one point or maybe someone threw it out of there before i got it. I'm still gonna hold onto it because i like it. Thank you for your time.
