I thought it was an airplane wing, but no one else seems to agree. Probably 12' by 2.5'.
Mostly aluminium with some wood and painted cloth.

Wing fell off or was torn off by a tree and the rest of the craft is in the water. Looks like an ultralight to me. It's very flimsy looking with minimal bracing to be for an enclosed "normal" airplane.

I know up here in BC, hikers and hunters find plane crashes all the time. There is a number to report them to see if they are known or not.

I am a qualified Commercial pilot. It is definitely the wing or tail of an airplane. You should notify the authorities immediately. If it is a known and documented crash site and there is to be no further investigation, you can salvage it for the aluminium. Recycle! Worth some $$$ Joe

I was unable to find anyone who knows for sure about it but it appears to fit an incident in 1971.
N3069Z , a 1959 Piper Pa-22 overshot the runway possibly causing damage to the landing gear. Not wanting to crash on solid ground, the pilot opted to ditch in the swamp a few miles away. On approach he clipped the wing on a tree causing "substantial " damage to the plane but only minor injuries.
The plane was later rebuilt.

kind of sounds like fun.........
