Found Gold Ring in fish's stomach

I metal detect also but yesterday I went fishing for Perch on a local lake. I only caught five nice perch in six hours. As I cleaned them I stuck my finger inside this one to pull out the cuts and felt something hard. When I sliced open the stomach there was this gold ring with 10 little diamonds. It's 14 Kt. yellow gold so I think the stones are real too. But who cares, I found another ring for the collection. I heard of this before but never from someone I knew and could believe. Now to wonder how the ring got there.

EXACTLY I A'M ALSO A COMMERCIAL SALMON FISHERMAN, I THROW SHINNY STUFF AT THEM ALL DAY LONG WHEN I FISH, SO I CAN SEE IT HAPPENING!

Love them perch. I've often wondered how many rings are on the bottom of lakes, I always have to take mine off when I fish, because when my hands go in that cold water my fingers shrink in diameter and have almost lost mine a few times.

I always check the stomachs of my catch to see what they've been feeding on, but never found anything like that!
Maybe I can scan the the fish I let go with my md! LOL

Very Cool find. Fish like any thing with some flash and shine to it. That ring has both. I also know how it got there. He or she ate it.

I know geese will eat shiney things they find and Crows and Ravens I've read will take shiney things to their nests. ?Made me wonder if I should climb trees to look in crows nests or at least look on the ground under them.

An yes, the fish did taste good.

Looks like I'll be doing a LOT more perch fishing!

Actually, over the yrs since from when I was a child, I have caught/cleaned 1000s of perch but never found a ring inside of any of them!
