Found in a creek

Found this today in a creek, I’m not so good at identifying creek and river worn artifacts, it’s made of a local flint so that’s a plus, has a lens shape and a blade edge… but I don’t know if I see enough definitive flaking, what do you guys think?

Looks natural to me, nothing in pictures shows signs of being worked that I can see.

Well shucks, I suppose it is. That creek is frustrating there’s Indian stuff all along the top of the bluff and the creek cuts right through and dumps out a decent amount of gravel at the bottom but I haven’t found so much as a flake, it doesn’t make sense to me, this one has the exact dimensions of a flake blade and is made of flint which isn’t really in the creek it’s all sandstone and limestone. I thought maybe there was a chance the flake scars were just erased but I definitely understand why you would say it’s natural. Oh well, my gut tells me there’s points somewhere in there, maybe one day I’ll find one.

Older, I don't think it is chert at all.

When you hunt the creek look for objects that block the flow of the current, and look on the down stream side of the objects.

Artifacts will wash down stream after heavy rains and when they are washed over objects blocking current they get stuck on down stream side of object blocking stream current. I found hundreds of points this way hunting creeks and streams in Missouri.

Sorry I’ll have to insist not limestone, I have a nodule of the same stuff I picked up while I was out, maybe I’ll crack it open this weekend but I’t does appear the consensus is natural, and that I can get behind, thanks for looking.
