Found my first 2 cent x2

found these Saturday and Tuesday...I recalled an old place close to where I grew up and my mom said the house was leaning like it was going to fall down when she was a kid so I contacted the person that owns it now and got permission to detect.this place is nothing but a bean field now.I had been using a whites mxt but purchased an atpro about six months ago and haven't used the mxt since.i really like the atpro...I found the barber dime first and then a few wheats in the teens and then found the 1871 2 center..you can only see the shield the other side is corroded.i actually did not know what it was until I got home...I work days and a lot of overtime and hunt a lot a night with a headlamp..i returned a few days later and found the 1905 indian head and then found the 1865 2 center..its just the opposite,you can see the wreath and 2 cents but the only thing you can see is the date on the other side..the 1871 has been hit by the disc and is bent and corroded but I love them both..i picked at them with a toothpick but that's all I will do..you couldn't see anything on them at all before the picking..i found a lot of clad and a few other things but cant get the pics to load....this place will probably keep producing over time...View attachment 924374View attachment 924374View attachment 924375View attachment 924376

Nice coins! I love finding the old ones. I've yet to find a two-cent thou. I'm getting an AT pro next month. Can't wait to try it out! I've done alot of night hunting do to work also. I've noticed I'm more focused on the tones and what the detector is telling me than I am during the day and have had good luck. Great finds!

hunting deer you are right about the tones at night...I do a lot better too as I listen to every tone much more than in the daylight..i got the atpro and the coil that comes with it is heavy and for me made the atpro unbalanced although it does a great job i bought the smaller coil and it hasn't come off since..i can swing all day with it and I dig coins at 10 inches deep.
