Hi all,

I found this cool badge today in an old private yard..it's 2 1/8" across and looks almost like lead (gray color front and back). It's kinda heavy, and has absolutely no corrosion.. it's very well made..I can't seem to find any company logo or wording anywhere regarding its manufacture.

If anyone has any info on this or knows how old it might be, please let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Great badge! Those are allways neat to find. Can't help on the age, but I seem to remember those as a kid.

Awesome Natman! Congrats!

I just found my first one a week or so back myself! Its a Deputy Marshal badge that has 1959 on the backby Top Gun Co.

What a neat find!! Congrats!

Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the ebay link Jeff..that's the very one!

It's such a nice heavy badge I thought it might have been real when it first came out of the ground. This old relic really made my day because it kind of brought me back to those days..cap guns, holsters, badges, hats..we were sooooo cool!

HH,

Yes they Don't make things like they Used to.

Now you would have to settle for a Plastic Badge
with a Slide Clip for the Pocket :P

Cool find Natman... You have been diggin up some neat stuff lately... Keep it up...

Sweet old badge Nat. We never had badges when I was a kid in the early 50's; we were always the bad guys. I can still remember my matching six guns and double holster! Those were the good old days. ;D

Thanks again, good people of TNet!

Those holster sets were the rage! I remember the gunfights we'd have with the neighbor kids..if we got "shot" we'd have to fall down and count to 50 or 100 before we could get back in the "war"! And who could EVER forget the smell of fired caps after shooting off a few rounds..
