Today I went back to the fair grounds that I searched the day before. I started searching a new area but found nothing so I made my way over to the area were I found some oldies the day before. My first deep signal was a real iffy signal a mix of high and low tones but the high tone was repeatable so I decided to dig even though I figured it was only iron. Well I was half right there was a piece of an iron hinge in the hole, disappointed I swept the coil over the hole again and got a good sound so I dug down about 3 or 4 inches deeper and saw the glint of silver. I was expecting a barber because of the depth until I removed the coin from the hole and saw the shield on the front. Wow was I excited I just found my first seated coin and now my oldest silver coin and its only my first year detecting. Thanks for looking and HH
