Found my first SLQ!

[birdman]

I finally found me a SL quarter !It has no date but still counts . I got a three hour hunt in today and found two dimes (1946 and a 1920) a 1943 war nickle one wheat ,a corroded token a 1968Canadian nickle and the SLQ. I am pretty excited . Back to work tomorrow so it will be a few days of not hunting but hope the ground stays digable. Thanks for looking and HH.

Birdman:
You have a more valuable coin if there are no stars under the eagle on the reverse side of the SLQ.

Very nice, good finds. Where were you hunting?

[seger98]

Hi Birdman

Nice finds and glad you can get out. Our town is flooding here in Ohio for the 3rd time this year. It has either been too wet or too cold to get out to hunt.

Spent time in Minot posturing the minuteman missiles back in 63 or 64.

Thanks for showing us your finds

Congratulation's on the all the find's Bird,I'm still lookin' for my first SLQ myself ( not too many on the CW trail ) Rained here today and then some tommorrow, should be just right for the weekend.Congrat's again and HH!!

[birdman]

Mackaydon, that's good information about the stars under the eagle .This one has stars there but maybe next time.

Sanat , the missile field is where I spend most of my time doing mobile vehicle maintenance for the security forces . Man,they know how to brake stuff.LOL

Civilman ,I would much rather be hunting for relics . Military history is much more exciting then a coin or two.

austinjoe ,I was hunting a yard about two blocks up from my house .The home there was built in 1940.
