Found on Pensacola beach fl. what is it?

[ronnyz]

Hi all, I was at the beach and found this piece of wood appears to be oak, it has these copper or brass nails and a brass looking spike in one end. It also has a round plug of brass. I would love to hear some of you're opinions.

Possibly the remains of shipboard!

[ronnyz]

Thank you Colonel, I thought it might be from a ship, I wonder how old of a ship?

[River Rat]

Ooooh, I like that! My kind of finds.

[CoilyGirl]

Those nails look pretty old to me,the shape of them.
Here's a pretty neat little chart someone posted a week or so ago.
