Found some 40 percenters in today's search.
About how many 40% halves make up 1 Troy ounce of silver? Equations online are a bit confusing to me. I know most people use $1.4 FV = 1 troz as a rule of thumb for 90%. What about 40%?

I think the ratio ia 7 40%ers or 3 90%ers per oz.

Scottw is right

a 40% half is almost exactly 2 silver dimes (off by only .0226 oz difference between 7 40%ers and 14 dimes). $1.40 face value of 90% is just a tiny hair over 1 oz (a few hundredths).

Just go to coinflation.com and plug into the calculator. Tells you silver value.
