Found Some Madisons and Something Weird

Hit one of my favorite spots today and found a few Madisons. I also found this.
It feels like pottery or cinder. Lightweight and porous. I don't think it's an antler.
Any ideas?

Looks to be made of a slightly tempered pottery. Are the white spots shell fragments? Could be a handle
for a cup. If it was hollow a pipe stem with the bowl broke off.

What you found Jonzer is a the handle off of a bean pot, illinois river beaker. I'll try and find a picture of a whole one and post a link. They are extremely rare pots and are super thin walled vessels. I bought a collection that had over 20 handles and sold them before I knew what they were. Congratulations and a really rare find.
