You have a nice assortment. It doesn't look like a typical north dakota assemblage to me. Usually knife river flint is prevelant in collections I have seen.

those look pretty smooth, really can not see the flaking on em.

hey hey dakotagrappler
those grooved granite pieces you posted are very nice and typical for this area
the catholic church in fort yates standing rock sioux reservation has a display of at least 80 or more of them in huge glass display cases in their basement
i mean no disrespect here but these points do not seem to correspond with anything or any material i have seen from around here

just sayin ND artifacts should be a mixture of:
knife river flint )KRF)
grey chert (TRSS)
red, brown or yellow jasper
white and brown petrified wood
agate
porcellanite

maybe you could come up with some more info?

anyways welcome to Tnet friend

I found most of these as a kid out Rock picking.

North Dakota is part of the High Plains and I am not seeing much in the way of lithic materials from that region. Also the majority of the artifacts do not appear to be High Plains types.
What part of ND were they found in?

I have to agree with the others. None of those Point types or the material looks like anything I have ever seen North Dakota.

And most of them appear to be relatively recently made tourist items. The white piece with multiple notches is made on a flake and so are a few of the others. It would take only a few minutes to knock those out. Maybe they were made on a reservation or something, but not fashioned from local materials. I also find it interesting that you also have them in a pop flat that you commonly see at auctions.... :icon_scratch:

Most of these were found by alkaline lake in a gravel pit, and old piles of gravel a land owner by the lake has a gravel business Hoffer is the name of land owner too.
