Found these at an old homestead from 1792. Not sure what they are…. Anybody know?

Welcome to the forum. Is the second photo the back of the first? What’s the back of that second thing look like as well as something to show size? To me it looks like a lapel brooch but hard to tell size even with the side of your thumb. 🤷🏻♂️

... I think they are horse bridal rosettes, Horse tack hardware that can help hold leather pieces together in decorative sort of way...
