Still haven?t narrowed down a exact type yet . They were both about 50? apart up on the hillside .

Thanks . I was just happy to find something older than Nebo Hill stuff . No idea what that red one is knapped from but i bet it?s tough to work with .

2nd one looks like its made of ogallala chert. It would be a long way from east tx though.

It looks similar to this material. I Found this in western NC. I'm sure this is not the correct name for it, but I call it red quartz.
