Re: Found these while diggin' targets

That's a bunch of nice marbles. WTG

Re: Found these while diggin' targets

Some of these have been well used ie. chips, nicks, even a few cracked (not crackled) :(. Does that make a difference? Are they worth less? I would say, worth more (to prove they held up well).

Re: Found these while diggin' targets

That is weird how marbles turn up when digging pennies. I have found just about the same number of them. Most are from the forties. I think the reason is that in the forties we did not have T.V's to watch so we all played games like marbles, kick the can and flipping baseball cards.

Great stuff. Love finding marbles, wish I could tell what's what in the value department. Read some books, and I still can't tell most of them apart.

Re: Found these while diggin' targets

I wonder if those might be mine. I've been told so many times that I had lost them. ;D

Re: Found these while diggin' targets

Nice bunch of marbles Larry. I have found about that many myself. Makes sense as we have been doing this about the same amount of time (35 years plus).
Last year a guy had four marbles from the 1880's that sold for over $8oo.
I give all mine to Gloria.
