Here you go, enlisted collar brass/disk/disc as said. Always thought it was strictly H for Headquarters, which later changed to HQ. But this says it was also used for/by Military Police (MP's), don't know if true.....?

Interesting. I never would have associated that with the MPs.
Me neither, haven't been able to confirm that as of yet. Could just be an internet oops. For now we'll just stick with "H" for HeadQuarters.
