I ran two tanks of gas through the 4" not far from this spot and got this.

10 to 15 Feet tops. I think in the one pic you can see the water off to the right.

;D Amen Russau,massive root been there for 100's a years ,get out the detector and test,test,and do more testing. Pumping water is no problem for that dredge pump but err on the side a caution ifn' ya can't afford the fines-John
 

I can get both dredge and trommel to that spot without a lot of work. I was just there and was able to dredge certain spots with my 4" and that was during the last week of dredge season when the water was pretty low. I think I can get right to it with the dredge if I hit it on the first week of the season when the water is higher. Might go back and take the trommel.
Hoser, no fines here. Federal claim and it's out in the sticks.
