I rode around town the other evening looking for a site to hunt for some civil war relics but nothing was going on. Hit one old spot and dug a few pieces of old brass but nothing good. As the day was about over a couple of friends called me and said they'd found a button coin shooting and asked if I could tell them what it was. We got together and I looked at it and it turned out to be an early 1900's musician button and wasn't military. All they'd dug other than that was clad. It was real late and I told them I knew of a spot I had dug an old token at yrs ago and maybe there might be another one.We hit it an hour before dark and I dug one and Joel dug 2 and his wife dug one. We immediatley contacted the states premier token expert and he said they were good ones! Here's mine, 2 others were of the 5 cent denomination. The token expert said in all the yrs he'd been collecting he'd seen 3 of the 5 centers but never seen a 2 &1/2. He offered me 100.00 for mine so it wasn't a bad find for a spur of the moment hunt an hour before dark
