Looks like a very large bullet.

I think it's a 50 cal. It does have riflings

Strange as it seems, I have found two of those in the past. When you dig them up, you think

I might have up to 6 or 8 of them all dug here in the Denver metro area. Some have rifling and others don't.
The silver sure looks like a lot of fun!

50 cal. My brother brought me some spent ones when I was a little kid when he came home on leave. I'd imagine that happens alot.

Well this was found at a 1840's farm house in Carroll County Ohio about 3 inches deep. I guess it could have been dropped ? I did not notice the way it was laying in the ground
