Found today in a civil war area

Not sure what this is but it somehow seems familiar. Found in a farm field surrounded on three sides by Chickamauga Creek in Ringgold. Not sure if its Civil War or farm junk. Any thoughts?

It looks very similar to an old broken sickle guard off of a mower or combine.

Flinthunter may easily be correct. I have dug similar ones. Gravely tractors used them.

Thanks, makes sense to me. It was in a field that got mowed for hay. I figured it was farm equipment or a civil war whale harpoon tip!
