Four Silver and one Gold!

Hello Everyone

I went out this morning for a few hours and I had a pretty good day. Although the weather was terrible 31 degrees.

I went to a park that has a long chain link fence along the river. I searched along the fence for about 100 feet or so back and forth working my way back away from it. I found my first merc. about 3 inches deep two feet away from the fence. The second and third were about the same depth.

The gold ring was by a tree only 1 inch deep, The other two were deeper about 4 or 5 inches, near the fence.

Total finds for the day

$3.26 in clad
3 Mercury dimes
1 v nickel
1 silver nickel
1 14k gold ring
2 other rings

Yes your right my bad! But after finding the gold one I used a poor choice of words on the last two.

The nickel looks good. Most nickels that are buried for any length of time get that orangeish/greenish color to them. Yours looks fresh from the mint! How did you clean it? Nice find.
