I really like the St. Louis green ones. I'm surprised you don't find more ground and polished ones. They seem to be pretty common in Kentucky.

You got some big Chert pieces in there..................Paleo people liked big chert
Second row from bottom..........left...........that Blade with the *flat area* is like a Backed Knice a Paleo type reduction Blade....................
You might wanna check that piece out................It has great flaking on back too...........
that is a old Adz/Blade tool reduction piece.........NICE

jeff u talking about the black one on left with the thumb cut out in it? or the one below it the whitish one?
all of these were found on a field where i also found at least 1 wheeler and i think a rare wheeler small point that looks like a drill
a friend also found a cumberland there too

The Whitish one................
even though the Black artifact seems to be a tool from same period with it !

jeff here is a few better pics of the white one and the black one.
also 2 points that i think may be wheeler expanded base points.
not sure but would like if anyone has any input on them.
they sure look the same as the ones in my book.

Thanks Hippy! I find very few hardstone celts where I hunt for some reason. I find mostly chert/flint celts. Makes me hold my breath whenever I do see a smooth piece of hardstone sticking out of the dirt!
