Fresh eggs, Nice bit of Beef, 2 Silver Sixpences and lots of green!

We're under another thick blanket of snow yet again:

but before it arrived I did manage to get to my local farm for eggs, beef and the best bit of Sirloin Steak I've ever tasted in my life :P

Had a quick walk around after I'd loaded the eggs and beef:
Found 2 bits of silver - Edward VII and George V:





A lovely 'WAR WORK' - 'ENGLISH SEWING COTTON COMPANY' Badge:



a few buckles (one with some cloth still attached) and buttons:





Victoria Penny and other 'Greenies'





Yet another 'Acorn' finial (got a box of these already!)



And this beautiful brass threaded open loop - (the 2nd one I've found in this area - suggestions of what it was screwed on to and used for much appreciated?) - I just might use them as curtain ties!

These snow-clad landscapes made me feel homesick. The only advantage of horrible heat and dust here, in Western Australia, is that they are kinder to inanimate objects. In case you did not read my thread about 'Crossed Swords' clothes fasteners - I found an identical one in good condition. They were made first by Thomas Carlyle and later by Buttons Ltd of Birmigham.

us some of the genuine hospitality that the English are famous for.....AND INVITE US OVER FOR LUNCH.....we can
hunt together after we clean up our plates.

Man, that quick walk was Hella good to you. Bravisimo! Things are always better in the country. Eggs, apple pie and used to be Chevrolet ('till obummer took it over) now I guess it would be Fords.
