From Russia with Love

[From_Russia_with_Love]

Hello colleagues.

My name is ILYA, I am from Saint-Petersburg, RUSSIA. My city is located in north west part of our country and in north east part of the Europe)
More information is here => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Petersburg

The history of my region is very, very, very big. And I am doing metaldetecting and tresure hunting for 5 years. And still think that i am noob) He he ))

For this period I met lots of interesting people and made lots of wonderfull findes) (the oldest coin I've found is before 1525 year)

I came here to find new people from other country that have the same hobby as I, to find out how people find treasures in other countries, to study other history, and maybe to improve my english

This Red star used before 1918

And in fact our government accepted law that limit our hobby - we cant take items that older 100 years ) But who cares about this ?

Digging in Russia can be dangerous )

Also there are so many "sounds" from WW2...

Our territory is literally full of artefacts from that time. Millions of people died... We still found out our solders on the battle fields.

P.S. sorry for my english if I make to many mistakes please correct me

Your English is very good. Welcome to TNet.

That Red star is very nice, as are your old coins. Show us some of the really old stuff you find.

Be careful while detecting and don't get in any trouble. I heard that Mr. Putin can be tough. Be extra careful around unexploded grenades too!

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you will post some of the artifacts that you find.

Good luck!

Welcome from Virginia - hidden way back in the mountains with a kilometer long driveway. My visitors aren't the human type - they're all animals.

We have been delighted by new members from Russia over the last few months. We encourage that - because we dreamers are brothers after all.

And you have treasures far older than we generally find in the West.

Welcome! While I have visited Russia several times I have never been to Saint Petersburg. I know it is a special city with a rich history. Russia is such a vast land with an ancient history - did you find anything from Napoleon's visit? A few pictures from my visits:

Welcome comrade. Love your broken English and the wonderful pictures you provided in your two posts. Go easy on that hand grenade! Man fine people here willing to share their experience in treasure hunting. Looks like you have a nice group of friends to hunt with in your rich history of Russia. By the way, I dig Putin.
