This morning was the first time this year I have been out when the ground was frozen. Luckily it was only about a half inch deep but it was cold. I got a few good hours in and by the time I left I was walking in mud. It was all very much worth it . I found what may be my best silver coin! It is about the size of a nickle but a lot thinner. I am on cloud nine.
It is a 1759 2 kreuz. If any one has any info about this coin , that would be fantistic.
I also had some other keepers . I found a really nice 1863 1krulzer . I have a couple of these but this one is in nice shape and the other ones are about slick.. The other coins are in poor shape .One is square and dated 1918. I have been told that these are called inflation money. I had to leave and meet a friend around 11:00 . He was not there so I went hunting for a few minutes before I headed home. The only thing I found on that last hunt was a belt hanger probably from the late 1800s. Today was a really good hunt.Luck was on my side. The area I hit was close to where I have been hunting for the last couple of weeks. They planted my lucky field so I went down the road just a bit. It was funny because I only had luck on the far side of the field. The only thing I found on the rest of the field was lots of 50 cal rounds that have been ate up by plows. I am gonna try to hit it again in a day or so. Hope all is well out there and thanks for looking. HH
