Galveston Island Area

Will be at Galveston Island State Park this month, i Know you can't md on state park beach. Does anyone know any public beaches in this area where it is legal to use metal detectors? any info appreciated

you can md in state parks, ask when you go into the Park. In Fla. you on the beach ,but not in the water so they say.

Last Christmas I went to Galveston to strictly hunt. Christmas Eve I counted 13 hunter plus myself. My CTX was hitting coins really deep. Managed one junk ring and a nice James Avery wedding band. Good luck down there! Tad bit jealous. I'd rather be hunting a beach than anywhere else

Drt51, Stewart Beach, East beach, 6 1st beach are the main spots, but all areas EXCEPT the state park are ok. If you need any gear, stop by our shop on the way .
