Well I finally got a chance to hunt a beach since I from New Mexico. In between family stuff I went out to seawall , East beach. Thanks to Wayne help me set up my atpro , my first day was bad couldn't figure out my atpro didn't find anything. Wayne returned my call give me some tips . Next day with my atpro set hit East beach and bam found 925 earring and than a mex 920 ruby ring, after hundreds of cans, pulltabs. That's all from Galveston and next stop was Corpus Christi and hit first beach and again after hundreds of pulltabs I found second gold ring maked R.M.I 10k wedding band and last was a vapor smoke cigarette. Not bad for quick beach hunts.

WOW! Great finds, I just got my AT Pro about 2 weeks ago so still figuring out somethings but not to bad after upgrading from ACE 350. I hope to head to the beach and see what I find, can I ask are you guys hunting in the water or sticking to the sand only? Dont get to Galveston much and last time I was there the water as always was dirty brown so was not sure if it makes it more challenging to water hunt there.

People that never have seen the beach expect all water to look like that off of Cancun.
Its not that it is dirty, The best Shrimp Fishing in The Gulf of Mexico is just off shore. Shrimp wouldn't live and breed in "Dirty water". Anywhere west of the Mississippi to about Rockport will be subject to its runoff. There are about 100 Chamber of Commerce days a year that feature clear water. Corpus Christi has higher bacteria levels, but clearer blue water.

The water is brown from all the sediment. It makes the water hunting challenging, but if you use a big scoop, you will do ok. Get a signsl, place your foot behind the coil when it's centered over the tsrgrt, then scoop it out!
