This was a timber find while digging a hole for MD item. I thought it was an old button initially. Nearly perfectly circular and 1/8” thick. It has faint, parallel “scratches” on both sides. Makes me wonder if it was smoothed intentionally on another rock. It was a curio when found, early this year. After reading current posts, I wondered about the game piece angle. Thanks

Depends on the material? I’ve got another made from ironstone. Archy told me it was worked and it’s a circular

I don’t know. It can be scratched with a knife. Appears black on surface and tan where scratched. Stone or pottery? Thanks
 

I'll tell you what, I can go to a beach in SW WA and pick those up by the hundreds on any given day. Not sure why but they are all over, so I am assuming it is a pretty natural shape in spots the world over.
