Garrett Ace 150 Waterproof coil?

Hi All,

Been looking for an answer to this noob question in google for the last couple of days and all the answers are inconsistent.
I know the main module of garrett 150 where the lcd screen is isn't waterproof, but is the coil part waterproof? Can I use it in shallow waters?

Swim your coil in the shallows all you want to.
Keep the control box dry though! If you raise your coil/shaft real high , water can track down it towards box.
I've wet an 150 around boat launches and swimming areas in reach of dry land... and loaned it to a couple who hunted a swimming area with it.
Worked out fine.
