About the pinpointing. I believe it states in manual that its centered in the cross (center of coil). It's been a couple months that I looked. However, I dug a lot of holes to discover I was off by 4-6" and near toe or heel of coil.
So I then pulled away from coil and then approached with toe end till beeped. Going both ways. Dead on every time. This is all without using pinpoint mode.
Pinpoint works that same way. When at highest tone (and graph) it's centered. Then pull back or move it forward. It'll be at the drop of the tone and at the toe or heel depending on direction moved.
Remember on the DD coil. The signal is centered in coil and towards the toe and heel. That also effects the distance from target unless directly over it. I rarely use my pinpointer anymore.

I got to play with that some more most of the time I get it
Then theres times I am way off.

I hardly ever use it.
The X method is just faster and easier !

I've mentioned that I got rid of 350 because I wanted iron audio and pro mode. Another thing I wanted was to be able to ground balance my detector. That to me is a big deal too.

I think that most times it is the operator with any detector. Good luck and congratulations on a good machine. It is great to have a machine you can jump in the water with.

I love my atpro, I wish it was hotter though, it is not the hottest thing going for sure. That's why I am always belly aching for a good big concentric coil so I can find the deep stuff. Atpro is not as hot as this thread.

It is so smooth and stable in the trash its awesome, and fast!. Pro mode, zero notch, 30 iron, sensible sense as high as you can take, listen to it, listen for the mid and high pitch tones thru the iron, its a magic broom in the lawns and parks.
