Garrett vs. JW Fisher U/W detectors

New to this but my intrest would be u/w and surf/beach type detecting.
Is the pulse 8 worth almost $1000 more than the sea hunter?

No, but this is just me.

The JW Fisher's are mainly for the search and salvage crowd and are Pulse units. I have used one only once and found no difference to the old Sea Hunter or Fisher Impulse at that time. Now both these detectors are improved also as is the Whites Dual Field and Garrett's Infinium LS. You would do very well to look at the other pulse detectors instead of JW Fisher. I like the Sand Shark by Tesoro.

I think that the JW Fishers are built more for commercial purposes.
