128 bucks in nickels: 3 war nickels and 4 proofs

315 bucks in dimes: '64 rose

i was surprised with what i pulled out of only 128 dollars in nickels!!!

nice silver finds!!! tho i do believe the "proofs" you have are just common nickels that were released for circulation, because with nickels they made "S" mints coins for circ thru 1970, and with cents they made "S" mint coins for circ thru 1974. hope this helps! keep it up and hh!

3 war nickels is good. Keep all others from the 30s and 40s too. I keep the 50s as well, although in reality they are worth the same as a nickel from 2010. (I was going to say 2009, but those are worth MORE, as they are HARD to find! LOL)

But the proofs are just S mint marks, not proofs. They faked you out on that one. Made them for circulation, and those are toss backs.

Nice on the 3 war nickels, that's more than average though, I usually average 1 buffalo nickel or 1 war nickel per box. I am in the process of opening my box of nickels slowly. opened 20 rolls($40) and so far got a 1928 buffalo and 1942p war nickel... may open the other 30 rolls($60) later depending if family comes over. If they don't come over, I may just open another 10 rolls and save the rest for tomorrow. Congrats on the finds!
