I was in Texas once and found a point/knife made of petrified wood. I'll see if I can find it.

I have thousands of petrified wood points. I have maybe 100 made of palm wood.

I also have over 300 made of manning fused glass . without a doubt the largest collection existing.

I have two Florida points made from petrified palm wood. They are not translucent. Those Texas ones are amazing.

I'm not sure what this is. It's a colorless Flourite I believe. It definitely has a glow to it. Any ideas on what it may be would be helpful?

One side has a hump and the humped side is ground flat.

That looks like something that could be associated with medicine. Not something you see laying around everywhere.
Was it found somewhere close to a camp site?

Fantastic stuff!

I wonder if they saved those aside or used them for hunting.

My brother found a perfect purple crystal covered in moss on top of a large rock that has traditionally been successfully hunted off. He went to pick it up and dropped it down a deep crevice in the rock. Gone forever.
Not something that you would find around there.

He thought an Indian left it there long ago...but who knows.

Arrow points from one camp Apple Hill N. California personal finds .

No wonder it’s so hard to find stuff any more.

Great display. Hopefully you wrote something on the back of the frame so other people will know where they came from? Be sure and date and initial it, so future generations are protected.

Now that’s just wrong!

Thanks for sharing that...I’m not sure how many people have that many crystal points. My dad found one once.

All that crystal is amazing!!!
I have only found one crystal point in all my hunts.
I took a friend and his grandson hunting one time, and I ended up giving it to the kid.

Found a very large florite bead this winter. Measures 5/8 by 7/8'S. Both sides have the cone shape from the drilling. Put it on one of the several mano's for the photo that I found in the same area. 20200119_130601.jpg

The reason its hard for most folks to find points like that is because they don't put the effort into gaining permission on a good site and then putting in hundreds of hours digging that hard dirt.

SouthFork and his digging partner spent years digging those two hills to find those. Anyone on this site could do the same thing if they decided to put forth as much work as they have.

I followed their digs for years as they found them a few at a time.
