I havent been able to get out this year much but i decided to go try button field since they just tilled it ,the day started out with about 15 shotgun shells and a bunch of can slaw etc...i was ready to head back so i took the old wagon trail back more shells and slaw and plow parts then i get a cool button and another and another and another then i get this weird button unlike any i have seen all 5 buttons are awesome i love finding them with a design on them so i get home and hunt for the snake button and i was like are u kidding me my first george washinton inaugural button. i dont know much about the other buttons if anyone has any info on them...ty for looking rs1.webprs2.webprs3.webprs4.webprs5.webp

Ditto on the ID - a very early patriotic button; however, the snake variety buttons are highly desired as potential finds by detectorists and specimens for collectors of early Americana. I think the snake buttons might be harder to find then the GWI buttons ??? - a good discussion for this thread. Regardless, that's an awesome find! Congrats! By the way, a few months after I found my first snake button, I found my first GWI button. So keep swinging. :icon_thumleft:
