Ill try again.
Now the more quick to the point reply , I dug this last Sunday Daddy day.
I still hope it's not to good to be true, Found in Cobb Co, within a couple miles where GA troops were known to be .
Think /pretty sure it's a 'Albert's' GA 11 ; as it is 21 mm & is a local.
Many Civil War Minnie's / Balls have been dug by me in the Area over the last 4-5 years .
No buttons until the last 2 weeks , the week before I dug a fairly ruff 'Albert's NY 28 ,' but with no back-mark. Unless it was right around the Shank , where there is just a hole now.
I also (last week) dug another 2 piece Face in very ruff shape (I think this is a fancy Civilian type).
I am thrilled to death 'so to speak' best Button in 20 years .
For times sake , I noticed a post from Feb, 2007 ' The only Ga Button I have found' or something like that , it's similar to mine but the Back is different & has more of a rim on it's face. it's also a "local" so I suppose they could have been made by different people , His was dug in SC .
Any info good or Bad on this button will be helpful .
No matter what the condition amazes me , it was 2 inches deep face down in the woods. The other 2 buttons were found at 6-8 inches with a-lot more iron around.
I still hope it's not to good to be true.
I also thank my Wife , her phone posts pic's sideways but I noticed if you click twice on the face pic's it will straiten them up.
Thanks for all the reply's & likes.
