no help with the marks, but dang that's a big spoon
 
Yes. It’s from Gerity Products Inc. of Toledo, Ohio who also had production facilities in Adrian, Michigan. Founded in 1898 as Gerity & Wiggins, a casting and plating business making automobile accessories and then domestic bathroom and kitchen fittings, they went through a number of name changes before becoming Gerity Products Inc in 1953. They had begun manufacturing reproduction Georgian flatware in silverplate just after WWII (the ‘48’ reflects the year 1948) and the "G-shamrock-4-8" trademark was registered in 1953. The business was wound up in 2008.
