I remember one of the things to do in the summer was to climb the city water tower and not get caught by the man. I think we were successful 3 times. You could see all of my small town at night from up there. We never wrote on the tank like they do today. Eventually though because of kids doing that they finally fenced the tower in. We were 17-18 years old. My girlfriend told me if I fell she would never date me again:laughing7:. Duh? 150ft.

In a town of around 5500 you really didn’t have a lot to do. It was the drive in movie which we did a lot, ride around or climb the tank or go parking with your girl. Parking was #1.:laughing7:

Wow, 5,500 ! Our town was about 1,500. At that time in my life I was more interested in cars and playing in the band. Majority of my time was with the cars.
Girls were trouble and always trying to cause jealousy by pitting friends against friends :BangHead:

We were just knocking around the band thing when I was a junior in HS. We got in my attic because it was floored and banged around till something started to make sense. I’ll never forget the first time we played Louie Louie from start to finish. I know it’s a simple tune but what a feeling we 4 guys had. That’s was a confidence builder. Those were the days.

Exactly Rook, those were the days. I am not sure, but I think we started with House of The Rising Sun, Pipeline, Walk Don't Run. But as you say, simple tunes but as a collective we were proud, ( and popular ).

Mr WD gave me a curfew. No electronics past 11:00 pm. I just got off my cell with my daughter and it is almost midnight and I am posting. I best say Hello and Goodnight. I'd hate to have my electronic devices taken away. :laughing9:

I know our first dance at the National guard armory. By the time we had a good 35 songs learned but by the fourth set rerunning low of fresh tunes. I'm gonna guess we played GLORIA BY The Shadows of Night 5 times. We made it but headed back to the practice room .:laughing7:

Dark ages? Well a lot of people in this world think so and don’t understand it. We live by the “instructions “ that he is the head of the household and I am to be subject to him. There’s more to it than that, but I cannot get into bible study here. Anyway, neither of us are perfect at it but we try. I confessed this morning and he laughed at me. LOL
