Yup, the famous Pinto with the exploding gas tank...had a neighbor in the 70's that had Firestone 500 tires on it! Told him he was driving on borrowed time!
The controversial Firestone 500 steel-belted radial automobile tire has a "safety-related defect" that has led to thousands of failures and subsequent deaths and injuries, according to the Department of Transportation.
