I helped a fellow on Arrowheadforms I.D. several pieces years ago. There were some 40 - 50 pieces if memory serves me correctly. I think the guy was from KY or NC and had inherited his dad's collectioin. Anyway, he offered to gift me these pieces for helping him. I told him he should keep these along with the others in his father's collection but he insisted that I should have them. They meant nothing to him evidently so I accepted. He was not gonna keep them anyway. I thought they both were Adena culture from the pics and the fact that he said he thought that his father's collection was from KY, IN, OH--personal finds too. They are made from Coshocton(?) and Burlington(?) I believe although I'm terrible at material I.D. Since I have them in hand, I'm somewhat puzzled about the bi-pointed one. My knowledge is lacking severely about this culture (and others) but I want to know whether I can rule out a Turkey-tail that is un-notched and made of some "Non-Typical" material. I know these things: Hornstone was the preferred lithic for the type and they are usually found in caches and ceremonially broken. So, any input is appreciated and also is required! :laughing7:

A little out of my area but the bi-pointed piece doesn't look like Burlington to me. It looks more like Ft. Payne. Gary

Wow! I wish I could help, but I’d be asking the same questions. The narrow point sure looks like an Adena variant.

Both would be made of alien materials if found around my region.

Nice gifts though!
