✅ SOLVED Girl Scout Pin...How Old Is It?

Hello All. I found this last night on a curb strip in an older part of town. It is 7/8-IN wide and tall and is made of brass. Nothing on the back. Looks vintage...any ideas are welcome. Thanks C9.

Hello Sod Buster. Thanks for the reply and great link. I'm surprised to see all the info on Girl Scout pins?! Guess I should have Googled it before posting...duh.

Anyway after much scrutiny and closer inspection of the back of my pin (I see an "R" near the bottom), I am convinced it is a variation of "Type 6B". This makes it a WWII vintage pin produced between 1942 and '45. Cool!

Thanks again, I now feel schooled on GS pins, and maybe I'll find a gold one next time as tamrock says.
